Business Development Manger

Salary: £60k - £70k plus package Location: London

Our client is an innovative and dynamic business offering B2B financial services and payments solutions globally working in multiple currencies. Due to continued business growth they are hiring for a senior commercial manager to expand the solution and manage accounts. This role would suit someone with sales or key account management experience with an insurance, payments or banking background.  You will be able to operate at C-level with excellent stakeholder experience.  This is a great opportunity to work for a fast paced yet relaxed environment.

The role:

  • You will create, maintain and close new and existing customers
  • To maintain a business development strategy and implement business plans on an ongoing basis
  • To fully understand the commercial product to provide clients with efficient solutions and support
  • Help to close business deals and supporting the Head of Sales
  • Initiate business development meetings when required
  • Work with the marketing and delivery teams
  • Keep up to date with market trends in the commercial and virtual payment space as well as wider banking and financial services, including insurance
  • Build and develop key relationships with assigned accounts

The requirements:

  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills are essential
  • You will ideally have a knowledge of the commercial card payment industry
  • Tier one banking or insurance industry knowledge would be an advantage
  • Proven ability to rapidly understand issues in different verticals
  • You will be self-starter and highly motivated
  • Must have flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment
  • An understand of the virtual card industry and knowledge of card schemes would be a plus
  • Experience in creating and implementing business development strategies
  • Experience of developing key accounts at senior level
  • Proven track record closing new business sales
