Head of Account Management

Salary: £90k - £120k plus package Location: London

Our client is an innovative and dynamic business offering B2B financial services and payments solutions globally working in multiple currencies.  Due to continued business growth they are hiring for a Head of Account Management to expand the solution into different verticals. This role would suit someone with key account management experience with an insurance, payments or banking background. You will be able to operate at C-level with excellent stakeholder experience. Key responsibilities:

  • You will create, maintain and close new and existing customers
  • To fully understand the commercial product to provide clients with efficient solutions and support
  • Initiate business development meetings when required
  • Work with the marketing and delivery teams
  • Keep up to date with market trends in the commercial and virtual payment space as well as wider banking and financial services, including insurance
  • Build and develop key relationships with assigned accounts
  • Create an account management approach to cover volume growth, C-level engagement, cross selling and customer satisfaction for all clients
  • To manage and nurture each client to ensure they are satisfied with the company’s services
  • To manage all client communications regarding new services, changes and issue management
  • Initiate regular account management meetings with clients and document the outcomes

Key requirements:

  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills are essential
  • You have a knowledge of the commercial card payment industry
  • Tier one banking or insurance industry knowledge; a previous network in the insurance market is key
  • Proven ability to rapidly understand issues in different verticals
  • You will be self-starter and highly motivated
  • Must have flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment
  • An understand of the virtual card industry and knowledge of card schemes would be a plus
  • Experience in creating and implementing business development strategies
  • The position will have a requirement for travel
  • Experience of developing key accounts at senior level
