Our Birmingham based fintech client is expanding due to growth, and, as a result, is looking for an experienced Operations and Finance Analyst with around 5 years of experience
The right candidate will have a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to changes within a startup company environment. This is a small team.
You should be proactive and interested, able to work with minimum supervision and be able to take ownership as well as being reliable and approachable
In this role you will be working on all facets of operational finance and the responsibilities will include the onboarding of new suppliers/buyers and investors, working on Salesforce CRM – inputting and maintaining client data and coordinating with buyers, resolving any supplier invoice queries via phone or email.
Other responsibilities and key duties will include trade instructions, pre-matching, settlement and failed trade management, ensuring that daily transactional reporting is completed, processing and procedures, monitoring systems, investigation and resolution, and conducting daily cash reconciliation management
and Process any manual trade entry instructions and reporting
As part of the role you will continue to develop a sound knowledge of all regulations impacting debt instruments & Bills of Exchange; & understand compliance: FCA, MiFID, KYC/AML. You should have a broad understanding of financial systems technology and be able to review and enhance existing processes and procedures to meet changes in legislation and regulations
We are looking for someone with good MS Office skills, software & process mapping software and a working knowledge of clearing, settlement, invoicing, payments and confirmations.
Experience in cash management, reconciliations and cash forecasting as well as financial services environment knowledge, regulations and legislation would be great
You will be comfortable using and maintaining spreadsheets and have some experience of using transactional data for reporting and dashboards
It would be beneficial to have a knowledge of EMIR and foreign markets or some formal financial markets training or qualification as well as a good understanding of Agile / Waterfall development methodologies
