Reporting to Head of Business Solutions within the Debit & Prepaid business unit the Business Analyst will drive the Revenue & Profit growth of Debit & Prepaid throughout EMEA.
The Business Analyst will be tasked with:
Owning, managing, and improving upon a consistent approach to the Requirements & Design Phase of the project
Working closely with the client to define Non-Functional Requirements
Leading effective brainstorming and design sessions that bring out detailed requirements and issues within a project
Creating specification documents that describe expected user and system behavior ensuring technical compatibility
Performing analyses of the business goals, objectives, and needs of the general business environment for appropriate company segments, division, group or line of business.
Planning and designing business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency
Identifying and implementing best practices and suggests how to improve current practices
Analysing and documenting business processes and metrics, and identifies improvement opportunities
Developing training summaries of proposed feature and functionality, as well as the necessary processes to implement it.
May perform special projects upon request and on occasion
Assessing the solution business risk, potential severity, probability and strategy
Facilitating the coordination of technical projects between the business partners and various technology groups, both internal and external
Maintaining a high degree of business functional knowledge and current technologies and tools.
Person Specification & Skills Requirements
Minimum of 5 years process modelling and systems analysis experience in the payment industry
Minimum of 1 years experience working directly with the development team
Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office, Visio, MS Access, etc.
Proficiency in industry –standard process methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, LEAN, ISO, CMM etc)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization
Willingly shares relevant knowledge and expertise to other resources
Excellent analytical, decisions-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
Ability to estimate work effort to projects and sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Capable of working independently at low levels of supervision to run workshops, capture and analyse requirements
Previous track record of contributing to product and/or services in EMEA
