Client is global payments solutions provider, and they are now looking to appoint a dynamic and energetic Product Manager, to join their Strategic Solutions Product Team.  The Strategic Solutions team’s responsibility is to develop and deliver in to market innovative payments solutions for new and emerging opportunities that require new solutions and new business models.

The role of the Product Manager Retail Solutions in the Strategic Solutions team requires someone who can be considered as a subject matter expert in retail, with a comprehensive knowledge of electronic point of sale systems and payments. The role will include specific responsibility for supporting the offline innovation to develop and bring to market game changing solutions.
Key Responsibilities/ Tasks
Develop and share a full and deep understanding of the offline retail landscape with especial focus on key success factors
Be a business and thought leader for offline retail solutions, provide vision, evangelism, delivery and go to market leadership and execution excellence
Program manage, driving specific initiatives in conjunction with cross-functional teams ensuring an over-arching strategic product view is maintained
Collaborate with colleagues in US Head Office.
Identify, define & finalise product concepts, including business case & financial justification
Ensure market requirements are captured & developed into business and product requirements
Lead solution development, through all phases of the product development lifecycle, from inception to solution delivery
Support where required technical discussions with partners & prospects

Occasional travel throughout Europe and to the US will be critical to successful execution of the responsibilities. 

Experience / Knowledge
Demonstrable knowledge of EPoS systems at both the technical, product, and user level, ideally obtained both at a retailer and/or an EPoS provider
Understanding of offline retail and the application of technological levers to influence the purchase decision
Ability to address both strategic and tactical challenges through creative and innovative thinking
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Bridging technical skills, and the ability to apply them to diverse business challenges
Strong collaborative leadership skills; ability to build relationships internally and externally, interfacing at all levels
Ability to lead in an environment of continuous change and complexity
Results oriented team player, with energy, who works well under pressure
Must be eager to learn, contribute and share knowledge – internally and externally
Education/Experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Commercially astute with good financial insight, formal business qualification an advantage
Understanding of new technologies (preferably EPoS/web/mobile)
5 or more years, experience as a product manager or programme manager
Demonstrable track record of successful strategy development and implementation of those strategies
