Our client is looking to hire a business development manager to join the team in central London. We are recruiting on behalf of a company who specialise in e-commerce and payments solutions into multiple verticals. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to thrive and quickly progress within an exciting young company at the forefront of online innovation. You must be happy working for a small fintech start up. The role is B2B sales and the ideal candidate will have fintech and payments industry experience.  You will ideally have commercial experience selling online payments services with a proven track record of new business sales.

The responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the digital online industry and create new contacts/leads
  • Creating solid working opportunities within specific target companies as researched or instructed
  • Create and manage a daily pipeline of activities
  • Keep up to date with all market data and to review the competition
  • Visiting customers and prospect clients on a regular basis
  • Building long term and valuable relationships with existing customers
  • Leverage events to create new leads
  • Elaborate account plans
  • Develop different approaches to contact and cold-call potential clients
  • Have structured face-to-face meetings and produce relevant reports

The requirements:  

  • You will be passionate about sales
  • To have a sound understanding of the online payments and acquiring market
  • Proven experience and knowledge of the UK E-commerce space
  • Strong presentation, Excel and CRM skills required
  • You will be hungry for new business with the ability to hit KPIs and targets
  • Experience of building long-term relationships
  • You understand PSD2 regulatory requirements for e-commerce
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related careers a plus
  • Previous B2B sales experience essential
  • A second European language would be an advantage
