Our client, a membership organisation of the payments industry is looking to recruit a Policy Manager. They run and provide over 70 events annually, programmes of educational activities as well as industry discussions and advisory boards. This is a newly created position and will focus on immediate needs as well as establishing longer term policy requirements.


  • Act as the point of contact on policy issues for members, proactively engaging to encourage input and involvement
  • Coordinate and manage policy activity on short term projects
  • Source and manage input from subject matter experts to deliver well-researched, quality-assured, and timely output
  • Liaise with internal colleagues and stakeholders to ensure alignment with other areas and collaborating on areas of policy
  • Deepen your understanding of payments and how the ecosystem operates
  • Coordinate and manage meetings with industry regulators
  • Build relationships with relevant industry stakeholders


  • Experience of the payments industry, which may be from a legal, policy, technical or commercial background preferred
  • Experience of policy development, including stakeholder engagement and implementation
  • Strong track record of building excellent working relationships with strategic partners
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience of producing written material for a range of audiences essential
  • Strong organisational skills
