Our client is a well-established payments business that provides integrated solutions to PSPS, Fintech and financial institutions.  They are looking to recruit a Project Manager to manage external and internal projects. You will have a track record of project management and experience working in the card and payments industry.

The role:

  • Conducting scoping studies, project analysis and planning phases
  • Performing project risk assessment and management at the customer request
  • Calculating the amount of resources required for each phase of the project
  • Assessing the cost effectiveness and feasibility of the assigned projects
  • Drawing up and monitoring project budgets
  • Preparing, organizing approving and maintaining all of the required project documentation and reports
  • Managing the full lifecycle of projects in accordance with international and internal methodologies, from initiation through implementation and delivery
  • Managing change control procedures
  • Managing the project teams and all third party suppliers involved in the projects
  • Overseeing and contributing to the analysis and interpretation of customer requirements as well as contributing to and signing off functional solution designs
  • Preparing project presentations and reports for customers and/or management
  • Effectively resolving project changes and collaborating, negotiating, and managing issue resolution
  • Managing ongoing customer relationships when required

Required Skills:

  • Commercial experience in payments / retail banking industry essential
  • Experience in project management essential
  • PMI Certification an advantage
  • Knowledge of the modern software development technologies and principles (e.g. SOA)
  • Excellent understanding of project life cycles, software implementation and testing processes
  • Proficient experience in working with a range of customers and internal teams
  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skills; an exceptional eye for detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a globally distributed team, work on own initiative with minimal supervision, deliver high quality work in a timely manner to tight deadlines
