Our client is a global successful business offering software solutions and focus on payment services. They are looking to hire a Risk Analyst to be based in their Hampshire office  2- 3 days a week.  You will have some underwriting experience and will have ideally worked in a risk management position.

The role:

• To provide the initial risk assessment of new clients ready to be onboarded
• To work closely with sales, compliance and commercial stakeholders
• Collecting and reviewing KYB/KYC documents, completing checks through credit agencies and remote verification tools
• Investigate internal and FCA regulatory requirements
• Review high risk vertical acceptance criteria
• Undertake robust business model reviews of prospective business and be able to take onboarding decisions

The requirements:

• Ideally you will have experience working in the payments industry, specifically in payment processing
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to talk to senior internal stakeholders
• Proficient in Excel and able to manipulate and analyse large size reports
• Proven financial analyses assessment experience to include P&L KPIs, balance sheet KPIs, etc
• Experience in pulling and understanding credit agency reports
• Knowledge of DDICs, chargebacks and ability to analyse disputes and transactional data
• Have an understanding of the FCA handbook requirements
• Understanding of PEP and sanctions
• Good statistical analysis skills
